Dr. Dierkes is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Freund obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Mathur obtained his medical degree at Sawai Man Singh Medical College in Jaipur, India and finished his pediatric training at Brookdale Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He is board certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Mathur joined Rainbow Pediatrics in 2009. Dr. Dragos is a board-certified pediatrician who graduated from Victor Papilian Medical School in Sibiu, Romania in 2002. She then became a resident at The Children’s Hospital Of Cluj-Napoca, Romania where she focused on pediatric surgery until 2008. In 2010 Dr. Dragos took her medical career to New York where she performed a pediatrics residency at the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. She joined Rainbow pediatrics in July 2013. Sharon joined Rainbow Pediatrics in January 2019. She is board-certified in Pediatric Primary Care, having graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 2018. Prior to that, she attended a Global Scholars medical program at Northumbria University and St. George's School of Medicine where she obtained a DipHE and MS in Medical Sciences. She is an active member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. Sharon has a passion for patient and family-centered care, including preventive healthcare measures and wellness counseling.

Doctor Edward Galena, M.D. has been practicing pediatrics for over thirty years. He joined our practice in 2022. He is a Board Certified General Pediatrician. He enjoys treating newborns to adolescents and everything in between. He is currently living in the Crest. He has three grown children and enjoys spending his free time on the water.

Rachael graduated from Chamberlain University in 2021, majoring in Family Medicine. She is currently a board-certified Advance Practice Nurse.  Rachael comes to Rainbow Pediatrics with more than thirty years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Lauren graduated from Villanova University School of Nursing and worked for several years in NICU and newborn care. She attended Rutgers University to obtain her Master's in Nursing and is currently a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Lauren's areas of expertise include newborn care and breastfeeding as well as pulmonary medicine and asthma management. She brings over 20 years of experience caring for newborns and their families. Lauren resides in Upper Township with her husband and two boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, spectating her boys many sporting events, traveling and going to the beach.

Melanie joined Rainbow Pediatrics in March of 2020. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Primary Care. Melanie graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with her Master’s degree in Nursing. Prior to becoming an APN she worked as a registered nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Melanie has always had a passion for working with the pediatric population and providing comprehensive wellness care.
